New Medusa's Makeup Review!!

So I just got my new Medusa's goodies in the mail, I wanted some pastels, i've been in a pastel mood lately:P  I also wanted to try one of the their eye glitters, so here ya go:

The top is eye glitter AK 47, the lower three are eye dusts, Pretty in Pink (pastel pink), Ultra Violence (pastel purple), Blow (white).

Close-up of Ak 47

1st: Blow, it is a definite White, 2nd: Ultra Violence, the shimmer obstructs the purple just alittle but I still love it, 3rd: Pretty in Pink, a great pastel pink, 4th: AK 47 I've wanted this glitter for a while, I can't wait to put it over black:)  All of these colors are a smidge brighter in true color.

Did I mention they are stackable : D

And I wanted to post a pic of the brochure they send you with your goodies so you guys can see all the awesome stuff they have!
Look at all the pretty colors!!!

Medusa's Makeup and Hard Candy!

So, I've been alittle on the ill side the past few days so I slacked on my blog, so sorry:(   But I really wanted to post a review on Hard Candy and Medusa's Makeup, which are two of my favorite makeup lines that hardly anyone talks about.  They are both cruelty free and Medusa's Makeup is Vegan!!
So first is Medusa's Makeup, you can purchase Medusa's Makeup at medusasmakeup.com

Medusa's carries eye dust (which is in the above picture), eye glitter, lip gloss, brushes, makeup remover, and lots of other goodies.   The four eye dusts above are Big Bird (yellow), Planet Earth (blue), Passion (pink) and Studio 54 (white)
Medusa's has almost every color in the rainbow in dust, pressed eyeshadow and glitter form. They also carry colorful mascara and lipgloss!

The eye dusts and glitter are $6 each, the pressed eyeshadow is $8 each, and the lipgloss is $9 each, so the prices are excellent.

Here are swatches of each color dry, so as you can see they are pretty bright!  The white is a sheer powder with a slight gold shimmer, if you want WHITE I would suggest BLOW, their whitest eye dust.  You can apply these wet using water or their eyeliner seal, pictured below:

This seal works very much like water, but has much better staying power!  I use it to wet the brush then dip the brush in the powder.  It works great for eyeliner which is it's main purpose!

This is Medusa's Stickit!  It works like a eyedust primer.  It is wax based so you need to rub it to get the product on your finger and then only PAT it on your eyelid b/c if you put too much it will crease, but I LOVE this stuff.

I also own ALL of Medusa's Makeup lipglosses, you can purchase all 12 for just $29!  They each have their own smell like vanilla or grape but they do taste alittle synthetic:(  But the pigments are great, I was so surprised that the purple gloss goes on purple!  These are not your typical glosses, they carry a good amount of color!
Again, visit: Medusa's Makeup  (also, they ship superfast!)

Next, Hard Candy:

You can find Hard Candy at your local Wal-mart, though each Wally World carries different products from the Hard Candy line.  Again, Hard Candy is cruelty-free and they carry great alternatives to more expensive brands.
This is Hard Candy's Primer! I love love love this primer and of all the primers I've tried (even higher end pricier primers) this is my favorite.  It is ULTRA smooth and works on any skin type, I know cause I've used it on all skin types!  It smoothes out the appearance of pores, wrinkles, even pimples!  Let it dry for a moment or two before applying your foundation which will go on super smooth and stay all day!
What is also great about it is that is free of color like many primers but it's not a gel.  You have to try it, only $8!!

Hard Candy's Moonglow powder is a GREAT replacement for Loreal Photo Ready powder and at $8, its a good $3 to $4 cheaper!  It's a translusent, but NOTHING is translucent, so expect it to appear alittle white if you apply too much, the idea is to use just alittle all over after applying all your makeup.  It helps give your skin a smooth shimmer that flatters anyone's skin!  What's great about a powder with luminescents is that they catch light and help your face appear more even-toned, help disguise blemishes, and give your face a healthy glow!
Hard Candy blush in Living Doll, it's a shimmery bright pink, which you can't see in the picture, it gives your cheeks a nice glow!

Nobody's Perfect Concealer Palette.  This a nice smooth concealer palette but I would not recommend it for dry skin:(  It comes in light or medium tones and each has green, yellow, and pink color correctors. I've used the pink all over my face on blotchy days to even my skin-tone and I use the lightest concealer to cover under-eye circles and brighten my eyes!  This is NOT a concealer I would recommend for heavy coverage but for everyday light coverage it's perfect!

Hard Candy line also carries an eye primer which I LOVE, I prefer it over urban decay!  Alot of primers are too thick or paste-like and can smudge but HD's is very smooth and light, I used it on my 13 year old sister and her eye makeup stayed all day, that's pretty powerful!  Their line has a lash primer which I have not tried but I'm sure works great if their other primers are any indication, lipgloss, lipstick, foundation, eyeshadow, and nail polish, so go to Wal-Mart and go crazy!

So those are two of my faves, I have more Medusa's Makeup coming in the mail including some eye glitter so I'll post a review when I get those!

Hope everyone is doing well and having magical mystical adventures, thanks for looking in the cubby!

New yummie yums for my nose!

There is nothing better for your home's atmosphere than the fragrance you use to scent it!
New yummies:

This candle took Chris and I RIGHT BACK to our cabin in Gatlinburg.  The cedar and evergreen are just perfect.
Target

A recent trip to Bath&Bodyworks was super yummie.  Of course B&B has new fragrances for halloween and fall.
We love our new creamy pumpkin moisturizing soap, whenever you use it, it fills the room with creamy pumpkin scent.
Chris bought the new marshmallow scented hand sanitizer, they also had two other halloween themed versions.
The 4oz candles were on sale 2 for $10 which is 1/2 off the orig.$! Kitchen spice has been around alittle longer but it's great for fall!
It has a nutmeg, caramel, and hazelnut scent.
Autumn is a newer scent which features apple and cedarwood, yum!
Last, but not least, is their new signature scent, Dark Kiss, which is a warm floral scent. I've always loved their shea cashmere line but the scent, tho yummy sweet, can get alittle strong.  I was more than excited to find out they now carry shea cashmere hand creme in all their signature scents!

Urban Outfitters

I LOVE Urban Outfitters but I HATE their prices!  My boyfriend, Chris, and I  love to frequent the store but only ever buy from the clearance or accessory merch.  Tho some of their items are not worth it, like a pair of shoes priced at $30 that I can literally buy at Target for $10, you can definitely find very unique and one-of-a-kind items there!  Here are a couple recent finds:

This is the body of a lamp we got for $10! Isn't she gorgeous?!

Here is the lamp in full but that is NOT the original lampshade, the one pictured we bought at World Market.

We used the lampshade that it came with in place of a globe on our bedroom ceiling fan!

This is a close-up pic of a new tank I bought for $20!  It features little lavender, blue, and apricot flowers with thin grey/black pin-stripes.

Here is how I wore my new tank! I love it! It has pockets just above the hips and is super cozy.

Harry Potter

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Harry Potter!  He has been my friend for 9 years now.  I love ANYTHING HP, my purse, lunchbox, the necklace I wear everyday, my phones background, etc are all HP.  One thing I have trouble finding is HP inspired makeup ideas.  Part 1 of the last movie comes out November 19th of this year!!  And what better way to show my excitment then by doing the HP makeup looks myself?  So that is what I am working on! Can't wait to post them!
Til then, here are some unique HP items I found:
I would love to have this on my toilet, Moaning Myrtle popping out.
This awesome books shows you how to knit socks, ornaments, and replicas of HP sweaters worn by the characters we love.

How great! Harry Potter glue coming from a troll's eye/nose?

Girlprops!

Girlprops.com, what a magical site.  I came across this site at another blog and just fell head over heels.

They are super inexpensive, not 'cheap' as their tagline says.  Here is what I got:

These were $1.99!! They are very colorful and have a pearl sheen.
These were $1.99 as well, they are actually more yellow than the picture, I love that they say disco on them!

The site has these rings in multiple colors, I love it's 60's feel. Only $1.99!!

When I seen this ring I had to have it! I wear it as an ode to Paul's line "ZAP!" in Hard Day's Night! They also have other words like POW! Bendable with multiple colors. $6.99.
This ring is bendable and comes in multiple colors as well, I love the heart knob on the speed changer! $8.99!

Below are a few items on my wishlist from this site:

Rockey Ring

Lips ring in pink.
